As many members would be aware Feile is well underway at the Ratoath GAA Club with the first couple of matches taking place already – this evening our U14 lads drew in their first match and the Ratoath V Donaghmore Ashbourne finishing at 2-4 to 1-3 to Ratoath.  Keep an eye on our social media pages facebook, twitter, instagram for updates over the weekend!

We are extremely excited to host Claregalway, St. Brigid’s, Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Douglas, Aodh Rua and Blackhall Gaels in such a prestigious competition and coupled with our own 2 teams and supporters wish to make every accommodation for the visiting clubs

Buses & Parking We would first like to draw you attention to the club map. Buses are welcome to set-down early in the day outside the clubhouse for teams to elite and remove gear and equipment. It is imperative however that all buses return to the entrance end of the grounds to park in allocated spaces. The club will have many members on car parking duty, please cooperate fully with them as they are organised by very experienced men who will ensure safety and free flowing traffic for all.

3.00pm: Arrival & Meet & Greet. Sandwiches and refreshments on arrival.

3.30pm: Meeting between coordinator, pitch managers & team mentors

4.00pm: Parade. Teams will march behind club flags on Pitch 1.

5.00pm: Donaghmore/Ashbourne V Claregalway (Pitch 1) Boys

5.00pm: Ratoath V Douglas (Pitch 2) Boys

5.45pm: Blackhall Gaels V St. Brigid’s (Pitch 1) Girls

5.45pm: Ratoath V Aodh Rua (Pitch 2) Girls

6.30pm: Donaghmore/Ashbourne V Ratoath (Pitch 1) Boys

6.30pm: Douglas V Claregalway (Pitch 2) Boys

7.15pm: Blackhall Gaels V Ratoath (Pitch 1) Girls

7.15pm: Aodh Rua V St. Brigid’s (Pitch 2) Girls

8.00pm: Teams return to their respective clubs for hospitality & entertainment. Barbeque for St.Brigids & Claregalway teams, mentors, families & supporters. 9.00pm: Teams retire to host houses.

*Boys teams will eat dinner with host families on return from Ashbourne (approx. 5pm)

*Girls teams will eat dinner with host families on return from Trim (approx. 7pm)

8.00pm: Féile Disco (8-11) at clubhouse for participating teams & siblings. Live music & finger food in club bar for parents, supporters and volunteers. All visiting musicians are asked to bring an instrument & singers bring your songs!

Other Points

  • Host families will bring players back to Seán Eiffe Park on Sunday morning.
  • Rules will be enforced as per Féile guidelines
  • Particular care will be taken in ensuring the 4 adults per team rule.
  • Pitch managers and referees alike will be strict on the Féile substitution rule.
  • Only 24 players will be permitted in playing area during games.
  • C.L.G Ráth Tó will have a physio on site for all games.

It is a great honour for us to host two wonderful teams from the west and two near neighbours in this fantastic festival and celebration of our wonderful youth and national game. We will endeavour to make your experience in Ratoath and indeed throughout Meath, Louth and Down as enjoyable as possible, please communicate with volunteers and ourselves with any queries over the weekend.
