On a wet and dreary July evening  Ratoath travelled to Kilcloon to play Blackhall Gaels in their 6th game of the league.

Ratoath opened brightly with 1-2 from Conall Aherne and continued to surge ahead with both Ben and Jack McGowan raising the white flag, before Brian Daly got in on the act of keeping Shay McGill’s busy with the white flag. Aherne continued to be a thorn in the Blackhall side with 3 overs, before Dessie Donnelly wrapped up a very impressive first half with a point, to leave the half -time the score line reading Ratoath 1-10 Blackhall 0-2.

Ratoath continued to pile on the pressure after the restart with goals from Andrew Gerrard, Jack McGowan and John Walsh putting the result beyond doubt leaving the final score of 4-18 to 2-5.
