Ratoath and Dunshaughlin couldn’t be separated in this Round 5 league match, in what was a scrappy affair played out last Saturday evening in Brownstown.

Ratoath played with the advantage of a strong wind and with Joey Wallace particularly prominent, they went in at half time leading 7 points to 2 – with Shane Duffy making a great save from a penalty one of the highlights of the half.

The second half was particularly scrappy and Fergal Power’s charges struggled to deal with shooting into the wind – however they were still holding the lead, but their cause was not helped when the referee gave a straight red card to Ben McGowan from the home side.

The visitors kept plugging away and eventually deep into additional time after a disputed free, they grabbed the equalizing point with the last kick of the game!

Final score 0-8 to 0-8
