2021 MAY BANK HOLIDAY RATOATH CHARITY PURPLE RUN – “Run Around The Rock”
Its back and we’ve a big target to hit this year. In another year of fundraising difficulties felt by all charities, we’re doing our bit to help raise funds to ensure the good work of the Rape Crisis Centre and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland continues for the very worthy people they help. The genesis for this great fundraiser was the deaths of local popular young people Ronan Cahill and Julie Crowe who sadly passed away in recent times. Their stories & local connections have once again prompted the Adult Ladies and Men's teams in Ratoath CLG in 2021 to run, walk or crawl their way around the COAST OF IRELAND in memory of these two remarkable young persons & to aid these important charities. Now you can get involved. Last year with you & the huge support of all the community, we managed to raise an amazing total of €33,000 which was split between the two charities. You all dug deep and supported this amazing drive to help both charities. We’re asking you to do it again for the 2021 MAY BANK HOLIDAY. The Target this year - €20K & a journey of 10,000KM’s (3,171KM’s the distance around the Coast of Ireland so we’re aiming to run around just over 3 times - simple as that!) - with your help maybe we can go a bit further. Spread the word the Senior Ladies/Men’s team are leading the way once more—get the runners ready & find the suntan lotion cause hopefully it will be a scorcher like last year. We’ll let you know in the coming days how you can clock your mileage & get involved so watch this space……Here we go again on our “Run Around the Rock”
You can now donate to these two exceptionally worthy causes at the below link which has just gone live / For now, let your fingers do the walking & this May Bank Holiday let your feet do the talking..…
